FFS has the qualifications to advise on the legislative requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and is experienced in injury causation/prevention within Dairy, Sheep & Cattle, Pig, Deer and Mixed Cropping farms including Agricultural Contractors and A&P Shows.

 

FFS supports farmers with the knowledge and specialist expertise gained through a background in farm ownership, on-farm research and extensive training in health and safety practices. This is a robust service which is confidential, non judgmental, extremely affordable and a must for all employers. 

 

FFS has a vast and varied client base encompassing sole operators through to large corporate farming companies. Client farms/companies run 2,500 to 42,000 stock units and 340 to in excess of 11,000 dairy cows employing 1 to 55 staff.

With over 40 years involvement in agriculture (farm ownership, family farm partnership, dairy on-farm Health & Safety research) FFS has a very large client base across the agricultural sector - dairy 350 to 11,000 cows, sheep, deer and cattle 2,500 to 42,000 stock units, mixed cropping, meat processing.

 

D’Arcy has National Qualifications in all aspects of Health and Safety applicable to farming and has in-depth knowledge in on-farm injury causation, injury consequence and rehabilitation and is experienced in staff management. That experience has been achieved through 38 years of farming,  training farm cadets, farm worker mentoring, coaching rugby to provincial level and rugby team liaison, both national and international. He also has ongoing community involvement through the Canterbury A & P Show where he is convenor and head steward in the Merino Ring and comperes the NZ Merino Junior Judging. He is  a sort after guest speaker at Agricultural Conferences, Rural Woman’s Network/Support Groups and Young Farmer Clubs.
